New Delhi, Nov 04: For hundreds of families across Uttar Pradesh, the diagnosis of congenital heart disease in a child brings profound distress—often compounded by the  overwhelming burden of specialized medical costs. Stepping in to ensure financial limitations do not  dictate a child’s chance at life, the Child Heart Foundation, a dedicated non-profit  organization expanding pediatric cardiac care across India, has successfully supported critical  cardiac treatment for over 260 infants and children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds  throughout the state.

Beyond statistics, the impact lives in transformed young futures:

  • Nirma (12 years old): Underwent successful corrective heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot  at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital on May 23, 2026, made possible through joint support from  CHF and GAIL Gas Limited.
  • Surya Pratap (14 years old, Saharanpur): Diagnosed with a complex congenital heart  condition during a community screening camp organized by CHF, Surya received life-saving  intervention through the foundation's flagship HRIDAAN® initiative.
  • Prashant Kumar: Received crucial open-heart surgery and comprehensive post-operative  medication support, facilitated by CHF in partnership with IDBI Trusteeship Services.
  • Afifa (Meerut): Successfully underwent vital cardiac surgery on April 29, 2025, sponsored  through CHF’s corporate partnership with Concentrix.

"Every child deserves the chance to breathe easily, grow strong, and pursue their dreams regardless  of their socio-economic background," said a spokesperson for Child Heart Foundation. "The journey  from diagnosis through surgery and recovery is taxing for any family. By bridging financial gaps and  strengthening referral pathways, we aim to offer not just medical intervention, but renewed hope."

Achieving this milestone relies on seamless collaboration between public health networks, medical  institutions, grassroots screening programs, and committed corporate partners. CHF continues to  expand its reach across underserved communities, ensuring that distance and lack of funds remain  no barrier to timely pediatric heart care.
